    2B Landscape Consultancy was formed in early 1998. Our principal business object is not growth, but stability. 2B's team is currently: Bill and Elizabeth Blackledge (the 2Bs!) - although we work with numerous professional colleagues, such as those within Hull Sustainability Consortium and at Maslen-JBA, to expand the range of services we can offer to clients.

    Bill has a broad range of experience within both public and private sector. Public sector work has included community landscapes, housing, and public open space design. Private sector work has been for clients from local and government authorities, to private developers and utilities; including housing, retail developments, highway planning, transmission line routeing, reclamation, and landscape and environmental assessment. Since 1983, he has worked for: Leeds City Council; Hull City Council; and as a landscape architect and then a partner of a regional landscape practice. He is particularly interested in landscape applications of CAD, 3D modelling and IT generally.

    Bill has served on the Landscape Institute Yorkshire+Humber Branch as Branch Rep and then as Chair, and is currently reprising his role as Branch Rep to the LI Advisory Council.

    Elizabeth has an honours degree and a diploma in landscape architecture. Work experience with Kirklees Metropolitan Council included leisure, industrial and environmental improvement work. Whilst raising a family, Elizabeth was able to complete some twenty varied garden design commissions. Since the inception of 2B Landscape Consultancy, she has assisted in the design and implementation of a range of landscape projects including hard and soft landscape design, specification and contract management. She has particular experience of play area design.

    Elizabeth served as Honorary Secretary to LI Yorkshire+Humber Branch from 2005 to 2010 and is currently studying for her Chartership.
