Burnby Hall Gardens – Video of the Rock Garden - First season after planting
17 Apr 2019 17:40     A+ | a-
2B Landscape Consultancy took on the project of restoring the historic ‘Backhouse’ Rock Garden at Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum back in early 2015. Since then, the once overgrown rock garden has been cleared, thoughtfully re-designed with history and sustainability in mind, and re-planted in October 2018. The photos below show how the Rock Garden has evolved.

I joined the 2B team back in November 2018 so I unfortunately missed out being part of the design and planting team for the Burnby Hall Rock Garden project. However, I was very keen to check out the place that I had heard so much about.

I visited the garden on the 6th April 2019, the first season after the planting. The birds were chirping away and the flowers had begun to emerge, producing an array of colours. Even though the plants had yet to fully establish, it was still a lovely experience for me, my Mum and other people, of all ages, visiting the garden.

I have produced an amateur video of my experience at Burnby Hall Rock Garden which you can watch below or on YouTube.
